The Band – High On The Hog

“An awesome collection that is worth the price of admission alone on the strength of She Knows alone. A great Richard Manuel performance. There are numerous strong performances on this album. This is generally considered to be the weakest of the 3 latter day Band releases but still very good. I would say keep an eye out for Where I Should Always Be, that is a really awesome track that doesn’t get enough mention. The really cool thing about Jericho, Jubilation, and High on The Hog is that they are using a lot more instrumentation, more like Rock of Ages vibe but on a smaller scale. The voices are in fine condition and the playing is great and they have a monster list of great guitarists that play with them which outside of the songwriting factor more than adequately fill for Robertson. They also give a lot more free reign to Garth on the tracks and that jkust gives you even more respect for what a master he is.I say pick it up, it is really good” – by Oraw on Amazon

people“More than two years after Jericho, the group’s impressive comeback CD, the Band still sounds gorgeously funky and unlike any other” – people.com
